Onset of turbulence in channel flow

We will working on the fluid behaviour when it flow through a pipe, we would like to model the flow of fluid through a two-dimensional channel, identity the status of the flow and investigate the conditions of the flow to become unstable and stable

Macquarie University

Yixin Kang is a third-year Bachelor of actuarial studies double with applied mathematics student from Macquarie University. He loves solving the PDEs and ODEs which can build up a bridge connecting our real life and mathematics. He also enjoying studying the random process in finance area which can forecast the future based on the historical information. Yixin is interested in using mathematic tools to analyse our real life, He intends to pursue a masters or PhD after graduations, either in applied mathematics/statistics or computer science.
Outside of academics, he will spend his spare time on doing exercise including table-tennis and volleyball, he is also planning to expand his interest into photography and cooking.
