Dynamical System Approach to Modelling of Electromagnetic Stirring

Analysing the behaviour of an electrically conducting fluid in the presence of an electromagnetic field is fundamental to both studying physical phenomena such as
turbulence, and industrial applications e.g. electromagnetic stirring. Prof. Suslov and his team have analysed such fluid flows driven by the azimuthal Lorentz force and observed.
the formation of robust vortex systems. The evolution of amplitudes of these vortices can be described by a system of coupled ODEs. We aim to algebraically analyse this dynamical.
system, identify its fixed points, investigate their stability, and consider these results in the physical context.
