Develop a generalised reaction-diffusion wavefront model by including non-linear diffusion. Analyse correlations between wavefront speed and local curvature of the fronts using numerical simulations of the reaction-diffusion model in domains of different shape. Extend previously developed non-perturbative methods to the new model in order to investigate the influence that nonlinear diffusion has on the progression rate of curved wavefronts.

Nina Hadzivukovic is a final-year undergraduate student pursuing a double degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics, and Medical Engineering at Queensland University of Technology. She has a great love for learning and finds teaching others equally fulfilling. Nina particularly enjoys the cognitive challenges prevalent in a mathematics degree. She recently a completed an exchange in the Netherlands where she developed a new interest in partial differential equations and got a small taste of exploring the world. Once she completes her Honours year and graduates, she hopes to combine her love of learning with her love of travel by undertaking further research studies.
