This project aims to estimate Group A Streptococcus (GAS) transmission parameters using transmission networks inferred from Whole Genome Sequence data. The research focuses on distinguishing the roles of throat and skin infections in GAS spread, particularly in Australian Aboriginal communities. The project will employ an agent-based model and Bayesian inference to assess the identifiability of these transmission parameters. Analytical methods developed earlier will inform the selection of prior distributions. The methodology includes simulation-based estimation and fitting the model to real data, with findings summarized in a final report
