Non-stationary dynamics of climate statistics and its visualization

The study would investigate the prevalence and dynamics of Antarctic mass of ice sheet and its relationship with various concomitant climate variables. We would also model the
relationship between the time series of ice sheets in the two polar regions using open-source time series data from Antarctica and Greenland. The full details including background and aims are provided in the proposal document.

Yihong Mei is a junior at the James Cook University where he is majoring in Data Science and Computer Science. His interest in data science began during the winter semester of 2022 when he had the opportunity to study abroad in Australia. Inspired by his teacher guidance, Yihong learned how to analyse the data. Now his focus on statistical modelling of time series of ice sheets and concomitant environmental factors. When he is not busy analysing the data, he enjoys playing guitar and photograph.
