The Geometric and Probabilistic Structure of Classical Physical Theories

We will investigate how the Hamiltonian structure of classical systems, in particular the classical point particle in three dimensions follows from the requirement that all the structure is encoded in the two observables of position and momentum and the constraints imposed by the classical space time symmetry groups, the Galilei group and the Poincare group respectively.
